Launching HKUMedXelerate 2026: Accelerate Biomedical Innovation from Bench to Bedside!

We are thrilled to announce the return of HKUMedXelerate, the flagship innovation challenge organised by the HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit. Building on the success of the inaugural 2025 edition, our 2026 programme continues to empower HKUMed researchers to translate groundbreaking ideas into real-world impact.

HKUMedXelerate 2026 offers HKD 7.5 Million annually for biomedical innovation through the HKUMed Tam Wing Fan Innovation Start-Up Grant. Up to 5 selected projects will each receive up to HKD 1.5 Million in funding, alongside expert mentorship, networking opportunities, and dedicated support for technology transfer and commercialisation.

As an optional add-on, teams may consent to having their contact details shared with the organisers of the 5th WRSA “Dual Innovation” Competition – Biomedical Industry Track, a highly regarded innovation competition in Mainland China. One application, two platforms for showcasing your innovation.
