External Funding
Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF): Innovation and Technology Support Programme (Collaborative)
- The ITSP (Collaborative) supports collaborative research and development (R&D) projects undertaken by a local public research institute in partnership with a company (i.e. the industry co-applicant).
- The maximum project duration for ITSP (Collaborative) projects is three years.
- To encourage more research and development (R&D) investment in the private sector and encourage local enterprises to establish stronger partnership with local public research institutes, the ITC has established the Research and Development Cash Rebate Scheme (CRS). Under the Scheme, a company will receive a cash rebate equivalent to 40% of a local enterprise’s expenditure in ITF projects.
Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF): Research Talent Hub for ITF Projects (RTH-ITF)
Maximum monthly allowance as follows:
- HK$20,000 plus employer’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) (i.e. $1,000 maximum) for research talents with a bachelor degree;
- HK$23,000 plus employer’s contribution to the MPF (i.e. $1,150 maximum) for research talent with a master degree;
- HK$35,000 plus employer’s contribution to the MPF (i.e. $1,500 maximum) for research talent with a doctoral degree; and
- an additional monthly living allowance of $10,000 (must provide in full) to research talents with a doctoral degree.
RAISe+ Scheme
- Maximum funding support: HKD 100 million per project
- 2 stages project support scheme
- Mandatory industry sponsorship
Incu-Bio
- An incubation programme combined with Workspace, Technology, Business Supports and Financial Aid
- Maximum funding support: HKD 6 million per project
- 4-year incubation programme
