Advancing Cross Border Collaboration in Biomedical Innovation

On 12 September 2025, the Technology Transfer Unit (TTU) of the LKS Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong (HKUMed), welcomed the senior management team of 北京亦庄国际生物医药投资管理有限公司 (Beijing Yizhuang International Biomedical Investment Management Co., Ltd.) for a strategic meeting. The session brought together key representatives from both organisations to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

The Beijing delegation visited Hong Kong in conjunction with BIOHK2025, reflecting the growing significance of cross-border partnerships in driving biomedical innovation and translational research. The meeting provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, identifying shared interests, and discussing avenues for joint initiatives in investment, research, and development.

Both teams emphasised the importance of strengthening ties between the biopharmaceutical sectors of Hong Kong and Beijing. This engagement represents a meaningful step towards accelerating scientific breakthroughs and advancing healthcare solutions for the region and beyond.
