Nansha–Hong Kong Innovation Industry Matchmaking Session

Hong Kong’s first Five-Year Plan puts life & health front and centre. Next week, we’re taking the next practical step with Nansha.
Under the 2026 – 2030 plan, life and health technologies are identified as a priority emerging industry, with a clear focus on innovative drugs, medical devices, diagnostics and related commercialisation pathways, supported by stronger capital mechanisms.
On 21 October 2026, the HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit | TTU is co-hosting the Nansha–Hong Kong Innovation Industry Matchmaking Session (圖南築夢・青創未來——粵港青創產融對接專場活動) with the Human Resources & Social Security Bureau of Nansha District and the Guangzhou Nansha Overseas Friendship Association.
What to expect:
- 🌅 Morning (10:00–12:00): Opening remarks + Biomedical Innovation Pitching Roadshow (Batch 1)
- 🌇 Afternoon (14:00–16:30): Nansha support policies & industrial park overview (including Guangdong Medical Valley and related resources) + Pitching Roadshow (Batch 2) + Networking
10 selected biomedical innovation projects will pitch their technology, commercial models and financing roadmaps directly to active GBA investors and partners. You’ll also hear first-hand briefings on incubation platforms, industrial park resources and cross-border technology transfer support policies.
Who should join: Faculty members, researchers, students, young innovators and administrative colleagues interested in GBA industry–academia collaboration and capital pathways.
- Venue: Faculty Boardroom, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong.
