HKUMed TTU at the opening of the Hangzhou Innovation Incubation Centre

Last week, we were honoured to join the inauguration of the Hangzhou Innovation Incubation Centre at Hong Kong Science Park.

The ceremony, co-hosted by HKSTP - Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Hangzhou Industrial Investment Group (HIIG), marked the opening of the Centre and a new memorandum of understanding on aerospace technology and industrial collaboration. HIIG is a co-host of HKUMedXelerate2026, our flagship innovation challenge supporting HKUMed researchers as they move discoveries from bench to bedside.

Gatherings like this are a reminder that technology translation does not stop at the lab. Incubation platforms, cross-border partners and places to test and apply new technologies are part of the path from research to real-world use.

We look forward to what this Hangzhou–Hong Kong platform can open up for biomedical innovators, and for the wider technology community already connecting through the Centre.

Thank you to HIIG, HKSTP and every partner who made the day possible.
