Xelerator Month is back

Xelerator Month is back — in a different form.

Last year we ran our own workshops and seminars alongside HKUMedXelerate. This year the 2026 Top 10 are on the road — BIOHK, BIOCHINA, Hangzhou and Wuxi — rather than running a parallel workshop programme of our own, we are sharing two current offerings from our working partner, HKU TEC, open to the HKU community.

Both are complimentary for HKU members and sit in the same spirit as Xelerator Month: navigating the journey from research to impact.

1. Entrepreneurship Academy 2026

A 10-week non-degree programme by HKU TEC. Speakers include industry leaders, venture capitalists, founders and domain experts on market strategy, productisation and fundraising. This year's programme places a special focus on empowering researchers to translate breakthrough research into market-ready innovations and real-world impact. Participants who attend seven or more in-person sessions will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

2. TCS PIONEER Series 2026

Hosted by the Technology Commercialization Society and HKU TEC. The series explores key aspects of intellectual property, including patent reading, IP protection, and strategies for safeguarding research innovations.
