🤝 Connecting HKU Biomedical Excellence with GBA Industrial Scale!

Over the past two days (30–31 July), HKU TEC | iDendron and HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit | TTU led a delegation of researchers and innovative biomedical project leaders to Guangzhou for the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Biomedical Industry Synergistic Exchange Activity (穗港生物醫藥產業協同交流考察活動), providing our 16 project teams with direct access to mainland capital, GBA industrial scale, and key policy support to accelerate their commercialisation journey.

📍 Key Highlights from our 2-Day Exchange:

🗓️ Day 1 (30 July): Pitch & Capital Matching

Explored regional growth at Huangpu Planning Exhibition Hall (黃埔區規劃展示館).
Pitched 16 HKU biomedical projects to local government leaders, state-owned funds, and VCs at Guangzhou Science City Financial Service Base (廣州科創金融服務基地).

🗓️ Day 2 (31 July): Ecosystem & Strategy

Toured top bio-parks and CDMO facilities at Knowledge City (中新廣州知識城) and Bio Island (廣州國際生物島) (including BeiGene Innovation Center [百濟神州生物島創新中心] & JOINN CDMO [昭衍生物 CDMO]).
Engaged in the Synergistic Development Symposium (穗港生物醫藥產業協同發展座談會) at Research Doctor Innovation Space (生物島研究型醫生創新轉化空間) to align on policy, clinical trials, and market landing.
