Dr. Shaolin Liang is a biomedical scientist, serial scientific founder, and investment professional working at the interface of frontier science, capital, and ecosystem development. He holds an MSc in Drug Discovery & Development and a PhD in Clinical Medicine Research (Reproductive Medicine) from Imperial College London, together with a joint PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biosensors) from The University of Hong Kong. He currently also serves as Research Professor in Future Industries Research at the Institute of Six-Sector Economy, Fudan University, alongside academic appointments as Visiting Professor at Xiangya Hospital (Central South University) and Adjunct Professor at Northwest University.

As scientific co-founder of multiple biotech ventures in biosensor-based diagnostics and reproductive health, Dr. Liang has translated academic research into clinical and commercial products, with several reproductive technology innovations featured by People's Daily and ScienceDaily. His research has been published in high impact factor journals such as Nature Communications, iMeta, ACS Sensors, Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Nanomedicine, and Advanced Biosystems.

 

Building on this founder experience, Dr. Liang has held investment and advisory roles at Gobi Partners, VU Venture Partners, Oriental Patron Financial Group, and China-Bio Capital. He is now working in Investor Engagement at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), where his core expertise spans pitching strategy, investment readiness, technology commercialisation, and healthcare venture development across Life & Health Technology and Microelectronics.
