This past Saturday, the HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit | TTU was delighted to co-host the MedTech Hackathon Lean Launcher Bootcamp in the Faculty Boardroom at the HKUMed campus. This energetic session brought together pioneering minds driving biomedical innovation across the Greater Bay Area.

Highlights of the day included:

  • A warm welcome from Joseph Ho, Programme Director of HKU TEA.
  • A thought-provoking three-hour workshop delivered by Raymond C., centred on practical Lean Launcher approaches to speed up start-up development.
  • A networking lunch that encouraged meaningful exchanges between mentors and mentees.
  • Status update presentations from 10 teams.

The enthusiasm and ingenuity on display today highlight the importance of mentoring, experiential training, and ecosystem partnerships in advancing healthcare innovation. Many thanks to all participants, mentors, speakers, and co-hosts who contributed to the success of this bootcamp.
