π Celebrating Innovation Excellence at HKU & HKUMed! π

HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit | TTU is delighted to share that The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has received the Outstanding Organisation Award at the 12th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
This year, 17 HKU projects collectively received 18 awards, with one standout project from #HKUMedβ βWorld-first nasal spray as potential prehospital emergency aid for ischemic strokeβ β winning both the Grand Prize (Entrepreneurship Proposal) and First Prize (Start-up).
We are especially proud that 6 of these award-winning projects are biomedical, biotechnology or medtech-related, reflecting the strong innovation momentum at #HKUMed and across #HKU in translating research into real-world impactβ from AI-driven diagnostics to cutting-edge drug delivery and immunotherapy:
- Grand Prize (Entrepreneurship) + First Prize (Startup) β World-first nasal spray as potential prehospital emergency aid for ischemic stroke
- First Prize (Entrepreneurship Proposal) β Next-generation precision medicine platform integrating AI drug discovery and ex vivo organoid validation
- Second Prize (Life Sciences) β Next-generation AI framework for comprehensive oral leukoplakia evaluation and management
- Third Prize (Life Sciences) β Enightune β Auricular EEG closed-loop system for nocturnal gamma entrainment for cognitive intervention
- Third Prize (Start-up) β Broad Spectrum Solid Tumor Reprogramming Immunotherapy
- Merit Prize (Entrepreneurship Proposal) β OsteoGuard
