As a relatively new team at #HKUMed (est. late 2023, currently 5 members), we focus on commercialisation support, education and industry engagement, helping HKUMed innovations reach patients and society.

From now until mid‑July, we’ll be highlighting a different pillar each Friday, showcasing how we bridge HKUMed’s biomedical research with real‑world impact.

🎓 What We Do: Education Series

As a university unit, we believe that building knowledge and an innovation mindset is essential for successful technology transfer.

Since launching in late 2023, our team has hosted and supported a variety of seminars, workshops and training sessions to equip HKUMed researchers, clinicians, students and staff with practical skills in IP, commercialisation, compliance and entrepreneurship. Our latest event, HKU Startup IP Day X Cooley, took place earlier this week.

Each session is designed to be hands‑on and collaborative — connecting HKUMed talent with industry practitioners, investors and ecosystem partners.
