We are pleased to announce the launch of the HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit (TTU) Student Ambassador Scheme 2026–27 — a new initiative designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and translational mindsets among HKU students and to nurture the next generation of biomedical leaders. To support this programme, we are now inviting industry professionals to serve as Mentors.

Become a Mentor and Shape Tomorrow’s Biomedical Leaders

TTU Student Ambassadors are passionate undergraduate and postgraduate students from HKU who aspire to explore biotech, healthcare innovation, and entrepreneurship beyond the classroom. Through hands‑on experiences and engagement with the innovation ecosystem, they develop skills that empower them to translate ideas into real‑world impact.

Why Serve as a Mentor?

By joining the TTU Mentor Community, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute your industry expertise to nurture young innovators
  • Engage directly with students interested in biotech, healthcare, and entrepreneurship
  • Support the development of future biomedical leaders
  • Help shape HKUMed’s innovation and technology transfer culture
  • Participate in meaningful knowledge‑exchange with the academic and startup communities
  • Build connections with like‑minded professionals, clinicians, researchers, and founders

Your insights and guidance can significantly influence a student’s journey—whether in innovation, research translation, industry pathways, or entrepreneurship.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome mentors from diverse professional backgrounds, including but not limited to:

  • Biotech and pharmaceutical industries
  • Medical devices and diagnostics
  • Startups and entrepreneurship
  • Clinical research and translational medicine
  • Venture investment and innovation strategy
  • Technology transfer, IP management, and commercialization
  • Business development, product management, or related roles

Your experience—whether scientific, clinical, business, or operational—can make a meaningful impact.
