HKUMed and SMART Sign MoU to Advance Cross-Border Biomedical Innovation
HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit was pleased to host a delegation from the Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART), culminating in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HKUMed and SMART.
The MoU, signed by Professor Chak-sing Lau, Dean of Medicine at HKUMed, and Professor Nieng Yan, Founding President of SMART, marks a significant step towards deeper collaboration in biomedical research, talent development and academic exchange. Planned initiatives include co-hosted academic events and symposia, joint PhD opportunities and mobility programmes, as well as fellowship and talent development schemes for emerging researchers and postdoctoral fellows.
This partnership reflects HKUMed’s commitment to advancing medical innovation and strengthening regional research networks across Hong Kong and Mainland China.
